Doublehead Resort

Doublehead Resort embraces some 1,100 acres of woodland, along a pine and hardwood covered peninsula where the mouth of Town Creek joins the Tennessee River at Wilson Lake. Each cottage is nestled in the trees along the waterfront and has it’s own private pier, hammock, picnic table and charcoal grill. The cottages interior features a large great room with a woodburning fireplace, satellite TV, a well equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, three bedrooms, two baths and large rocking chairs on the water front porch. From sunrise to long after sunset, there are countless ways to enjoy God’s creation!

Ray & his wife Lisa have been married for 16 years & have 2 children, Amelia (12) & Tripp (7). Before coming to Briarwood in 2012, Ray was the Director of Ministries at Rainbow Presbyterian Church for 8 years & previous to that worked as a family counselor for several years. Ray loves hanging with his family, outdoor activities, & “long walks on the beach with his bride”.

A great time of fellowship - Sunday nights at 7:30 pm, following the evening church service. The cost is $5 (first-time visitors eat free). Location may vary.

Sunday School Information
Dates: Sundays
Time: 9:30-10:30 am
Location: Briarwood, A-204
The Graduates & Career Sunday School class meets in room A-204 (second floor administration building - "A") every Sunday morning. We will officially start at 9:30 am and have fellowship until 9:45 am. We will end every Sunday at 10:30 am and give more time for fellowship and to get to church services at 10:45 am.

In II Corinthians 4:6, we read: “For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” How do we as believers respond to the darkness around us? The cure is not found in government, education or finances, but in the glory of God as revealed through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
